Introducing Flightline Kitchen + Bar

Aerospace Bristol’s brand new cafe, Flightline Kitchen + Bar, offers hot and cold drinks, freshly baked sweet treats, snacks, sandwiches and a variety of meals, including breakfast burritos, burgers, salads and flatbreads.

Menus will change throughout the year, using local ingredients from suppliers such as Clifton Coffee, Severn & Wye Smokery, Cotswold Distillery, Hobbs House Bakery, and Bath Soft Cheese Company.

Situated inside one of the museum’s grade-II listed aircraft hangars, the redesigned space draws inspiration from Bristol’s aerospace heritage. Flightline was the name of the factory canteen that served workers at Filton, as they built iconic aircraft like the Bristol Britannia in the 1950s and Concorde in the 1960s and 1970s.

Pedal Planes for Under-5s

Tuesday 8th - Thursday 10th April

This Easter, a Squadron of Pedal Planes will be at Aerospace Bristol from the 8th to the 10th of April including a Spitfire, Tiger Moth and Hawk Trainer. Budding young pilots (aged 4 and under) will have the chance to sit in the smaller replicas and travel around the Concorde Hangar.

The planes, modelled on historic aircraft are made by members of the Joystick Club, based in White Waltham, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, most of whom are current and retired pilots.

All the aircraft are based on their full-sized counterparts, finished and decorated to represent them. Where a child is unable to pedal, "push sticks" are attached to the tail of each plane, so an adult can guide the trainee pilots around.

The pedal plane activity is included with museum admission and does not need to be booked separately.

Droop Nose Demonstration

Wednesday, 9th April |12pm

Catch a live Droop Nose on Wednesday, 9th April by Concorde Captain Colin Morris as we mark the 56th anniversary of a British Concorde’s maiden flight.

On 9th April 1969 Concorde prototype 002 (G-BSST) took off from Filton, Bristol and landed at RAF Fairford.

Concorde's droop nose was designed to give pilots better visibility during takeoff and landing.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the droop nose in action at the very location were Concorde’s story began.

The droop nose demonstration is included with museum admission and does not need to be booked separately.
