Press and photography

Aerospace Bristol makes a fantastic location for press and media shoots, and we can provide expert, and fully trained, spokespeople for press, TV and radio interviews.

The Concorde Hangar is home to our show-stopping centre-piece, Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, and is a truly unique space for a photo-shoot. We can also accommodate filming in the WWI Grade II listed hangar that houses our Aerospace Galleries - a collection of remarkable aerospace history spanning more than a century.

Professional filming/photography in the Museum

Commercial filming or photography of any kind is not permitted at Aerospace Bristol without prior written consent from the museum’s Marketing Team. This applies to all areas of the museum site at all times - including during museum opening hours, outside of hours, and during private events.

If you wish to seek permission for commercial filming or photography, please email media@aerospacebristol.org before arranging your visit.

Taking photographs in the Museum

A visit to Aerospace Bristol is a fantastic opportunity to capture photographs to share with your friends and family - however, please note that all photography and filming conducted on the Aerospace Bristol site must be used for personal use only.

Professional or commercial photography anywhere on site is only permitted by prior arrangement with Aerospace Bristol. You must apply for permission at least ten working days in advance, indicating which objects you propose to photograph and in which galleries. Please email media@aerospacebristol.org.

Hand-held cameras may be used for private and personal purposes in the galleries unless otherwise indicated, though we ask that you please refrain from using flash. Tripods are allowed, but please be considerate of other visitors. Please do not leave your tripod unattended and be careful around objects and – if the museum is too busy (which a member of staff may decide on the day) then please be prepared to make use of your annual ticket and come back to take photos at a quieter time, such as during the week during school term time. Please note that photography is not allowed in the archives and drones are not permitted anywhere on site.

Aerospace Bristol cannot guarantee that photographed content will not include third-party copyright. It is the responsibility of the user to determine whether any such copyright exists and whether additional permissions may be needed.
